Eastbourne's pride parade has been cancelled due to overrunning roadworks.
The decision for the 2026 event was made following concerns over safety due to ongoing roadworks along Eastbourne seafront, where the parade usually takes place.
Organisers said they took the difficult decision after it became clear that essential works would overrun into July, making the traditional parade along the seafront unsafe.

The route, part of ongoing public realm improvements led by East Sussex Highways, is intended to improve pedestrian access, attract more visitors and support local businesses.
However, delays to the works mean the parade cannot proceed safely.
Organisers said there was not enough time to reorganise the route.
In a public statement, Eastbourne Pride trustees said: "We remain committed to an annual parade as part of our Community Pride celebrations, and we're already looking forward to bringing it back bigger, brighter, bolder and prouder in 2027."
Not all Pride activity has been called off.
The 'Pride Comes to Town' celebration in Little Chelsea will still go ahead on June 13 from 12pm to 7pm in Little Chelsea.
In previous years, the parade has acted as the centrepiece of Eastbourne Pride, taking participants along the seafront.
East Sussex Highways said it recognised the disappointment but highlighted the longer-term benefits of the improvement scheme.
Organisers echoed these positive sentiments despite the setback.
A statement on their Instagram read: "We're already looking forward to bringing it back bigger, brighter, bolder and prouder in 2027."
