The hit Netflix show My Life With the Walter Boys has recently released its second season, and for those living in Calgary and the surrounding areas, there were a lot of very familiar spots seen on screen.
As the show is filmed in Alberta, the cast has shared plenty of their favourite Calgary food spots, from a local dessert shop to one of the city's most iconic bars. Now, thanks to an interactive map created by Netflix, we also know exactly which restaurants were used during filming.
In season one, Calgary spots, including Richmond's Pub and Bitter Sisters Brewing Co., made an appearance. But if you're looking for some more filming locations to visit, here are some of the Alberta restaurants that made an appearance in the latest season of My Life With The Walter Boys.
Bragg Creek's Rockies Tavern & Grill played host to a scene of characters Alex and Blake unwinding and line-dancing. If you're visiting for yourself, the spot offers authentic house-made cuisine in a welcoming environment.
Southfork Restaurant took on its own role during this season of My Life With the Walter Boys, becoming the Rusty Spoon Diner in the fictional town of Silver Falls. The spot appears in Season 2, Episode 5, as George and Katherine celebrate their anniversary.
Specializing in modern Canadian cuisine, Fence & Post is a must-visit in Cochrane. With a focus on "simplicity, sophistication, and sustainability," the spot showcases the very best bounty that Alberta has to offer. The restaurant played host to characters Will and Haley as they had dinner with friends.
