A rapper who 'died' on stage has shared a health update from his hospital bed, and he seems to be in fine spirits.
Pete Bowditch, one half of rap duo Pete & Bas, went viral this week when he appeared to pass out during a show in Chicago on Monday night.
The 70-year-old musician was suspended above the stage in a harness when it happened.
During his performance, he fell unconscious, dropping the microphone to the ground.
As serious as it looked, however, Pete has bounced back remarkably well for a man who, in his words, was 'pronounced dead'.
In a video shared on Instagram, he can be seen in a hospital bed gripping what seems to be a pint of beer.
'Now, people, as you know, recently I was pronounced dead on stage. The doctors managed to bring me back' he explains. 'To celebrate that, we're announcing a tour to America.'
He captioned the post: 'Right people, it looks like I'm alive. Happy days. The wife's brought me in a takeaway pint too, so I'm finally feeling like myself again 🍺.'
He finished by plugging his tour dates once again, proving that there's no such thing as bad publicity.
Pete & Bas' fans were thrilled by Pete's Lazarus act and the tour news.
'Wishing you a swift and complete recovery, mate,' wrote ARJBarker.
'YESSS ! Please come to Florida!!!! please,' added ElliotJoffe.
While Tito_Boogie commented, 'I'm glad you're still with us, OG. Take your time, recover. Then come back strong!'
The video of Pete passing out shocked fans earlier this week. Everything appeared to be fine initially, with Pete being raised in the air while dancers danced behind him.
However, something clearly went wrong when Pete blacked out. Following the incident, his management shared a statement on Instagram.
'We would like to apologise for last night's show,' they wrote.
'The good news is Pete is now in a stable condition. We'll be issuing refunds to all ticket holders. All current European tour dates will still be going ahead.'
Pete & Bas released their first single in 2017 with 'Shut Ya Mouth' after Pete discovered a love of hip-hop hip hop after listening to the genre with his granddaughter in the car.
Following that, he and his friend Bas decided it would be fun to release music on YouTube for fun.
