The movie Pillion was made available for streaming on VOD in late March 2026, but the version that was released had removed Alexander Skarsgard's full frontal scene.
Now, the unrated version that was seen in movie theaters is going to be available for streaming.
HBO Max has announced that Pillion will be added to the app on Saturday, June 6 at 8pm ET. Both the edited version and the unrated version will be available on the same day.
According to THR, there are only two main versions of the movie - the non-rated version, which screened at festivals and in theaters, and the R-rated version, that is now out on digital.
In order to obtain the R rating, there were reportedly changes requested, including the the amount of sexual content in the alley oral sex scene, the wrestling scene and the biker picnic scene. These changes are described as "light edits" of the visuals and sounds.
In theatrical version, there were extended shots of Ray's (Skarsgard) [prosthetic] manhood, and depictions of sex between the two, but in the at-home version, it was pared down. The MPAA, which gives films ratings, reportedly also requested that the fake semen on Harry's face receive "de-shining."
Pillion is currently available to rent or buy on Apple TV, Prime Video, Google Play and more digital platforms.
