The Waterloo Road star also said he wasn't 'in it to win' ITV spin-off, I'm A Celebrity... South Africa
Adam Thomas has singled out just five of his I'm A Celebrity... South Africa campmates, as he hailed them for their support while taking part in the show, after revealing he's in therapy over his feud with boxer David Haye.
The Manchester-born actor has previously said the sportsman "pushed me to my limits" while on the ITV reality show, a spin-off to the main series I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, and has detailed struggling whilst in the jungle due to having psoriatic arthritis.
Viewers have also since seen the Waterloo Road star break down in tears during last night's episode, following an explosive row with campmate Jimmy Bullard for almost compromising his time on the show.
Adam, 37, has since been heard speaking to his brothers Scott and Ryan on their At Home With The Thomas Bro's podcast, and Adam broke down in tears as he told of his "tough time" during the all-star series.
Adam said: "I know for a fact I am not the same person as I was when I went into the jungle to when I came out. It's changed me and that's no over-exaggeration. I'm in therapy now because like it's f***** with me mentally because I just thought, how is this happening? I'm a 37-year-old man, how am I letting some other person do this to me in here?"
Now, Adam has taken to Instagram to praise his female campmates for their support while filming the series, which was pre-recorded in September last year, before it started airing on ITV earlier this month with a live final set for this Friday (April 24).
Sharing a picture of himself, Sunitta, Ashely Roberts, Beverley Callard, Scarlett Moffatt and Gemma Collins at the series launch earlier this year, he wrote on Instagram: "I just want to say thank you to all these incredible women... You've supported me in ways I don't even think you fully understand, through the doubt, the unknown, and all the moments in between. I've always had a soft heart but a strong soul, and this whole experience really tested that.
"For months, I didn't know how any of this would be perceived. Even though I stood by every decision I made, there was always that little voice wondering how it would be shown, how it would be edited, how people would see me. And that uncertainty wasn't easy to carry."But now, reading your messages, seeing your comments, feeling your support, it's given me something I can't even put into words. It's brought me peace. It's reminded me that staying true to myself was always enough. I was never in it to win. I just refused to let them win by breaking me... Nothing but love."
Ashely replied: "Aww lots of love my friend," as Beverley said: "Thank you to you my darling man! We all love you." Scarlett also shared: "We love you Adam."
