Why it matters: Whether you clink colada cups at 3:05pm or celebrate the end of another cold front with a trip to the beach, there is no wrong way to celebrate our home.
🗺️ State of Dade: The entire state of Florida was assigned the 305 area code in 1947, but as we grew, new area codes were assigned to different parts of the state, the Miami Herald reports.
* Now, Miami-Dade County and a portion of the Florida Keys lay sole claim to the area code.
How to celebrate: There are a ton of local restaurant collaborations, food deals and events to ring in the holiday.
😎 Things to do
🩴 The 305 Day Festival is the holiday's official event, and this year's celebration is outrageously Miami.
