Dre is one of 'a small but growing group' of celebrities who made the mag's 2026 Billionaires List.
Forbes didn't forget about Dre while putting together its 2026 Billionaires List.
Rapper/producer/businessman Dr. Dre finally made the magazine's ranks this year, this after he and Tyrese Gibson exclaimed back in 2014 that "they need to update the Forbes list, s--t just changed" when he sold Beats by Dre to Apple for $3 billion.
He's one of what Forbes called "a small but growing group" of celebrities to make it onto the annual inventory of massive money-makers. Other new celeb additions in 2026 include Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, director James Cameron and tennis star Roger Federer.
You'll have to scroll pretty far down to find his name, however, as Dre clocked in at #3332, tying with the likes of Rihanna, Jared Kushner and other billionaires from around the world.
On Forbes' much shorter World's Celebrity Billionaires list, however, he came in at #22, with his net worth estimated at $1 billion -- the same amount tallied for Beyoncé and Rihanna.
Other Top Celebrities
The publication defined "celebrity" as someone who "became famous first, then massively rich." This, they admit, "skews heavily in favor of entertainers and athletes" and doesn't include those who are famous simply for amassing wealth.
While names including Jerry Seinfeld, Arnold Schwarzenegger, LeBron James, Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian also made the celeb list, the Top 3 slots belonged to Michael Jordan (Net worth: $4.3 billion), George Lucas ($5.2 billion) and Steven Spielberg ($7.1 billion).
As for how Spielberg nabbed No. 1, not only is he the highest-grossing director of all-time, but, per Forbes, he also earns money on every ticket sold for Universal Studios theme parks due to theming from his films including Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones and Jaws.
The Richest of the Rich
When it comes to the overall richest people in the world, Elon Musk grabbed that title for the second year in a row, with an estimated net worth of $839 billion. He was also named the richest person ever recorded.
Coming in a distant second was Google cofounder Larry Page, with $257 billion, followed by his cofounder Sergey Brin at $237 billion. Jeff Bezos ($224 billion) and Mark Zuckerberg ($222 billion) rounded out the top 5.
The magazine also pointed out that President Donald Trump's net worth increased 27%, to what they estimated as $6.5 billion. This places him at #645 worldwide, thanks in part to his crypto dealings.
"It's the year of the billionaire," Forbes Senior Editor, Wealth, Chase Peterson-Withorn, said. "The planet added more than one billionaire per day over the past twelve months as the AI-powered stock market boom boosted fortunes to previously unimaginable heights."
Per Forbes, the overall worth of the billionaires on the list was up $4 trillion over 2025, with the most coming from the United States.
