Davina issued the apology during a segement involving two stars from The Celebrity Traitors
Davina McCall was forced to apologise over one of her Comic Relief co-star's 'bad language' during the BBC's live broadcast of the charity event.
Titled Funny for Money, Red Nose Day 2026's broadcast focused on using laughter to try and bring in the laughs on Friday night (March 20). Davina was back on presenting duties, having become the programme's main presenter since Sir Lenny James stepped away from hosting in 2024.

This year's programme featured live performances, amazing prizes, surprise cameos, and must-see sketches lined up. The highlights of the night included a sketch inspired by The Traitors and Idris Elba joining forces with This Morning's Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond in a heist sketch.
All of this was done to raise vital funds to help people access food, shelter and safety for those both in the UK and around the world. It was revealed at the end of the broadcast from MediaCityUK in Salford, that the total amount raised was £30,004,040.
Joining Davina on the presenting side of things was comedian Katherine Ryan, The Masked Singer's Joel Dommett and Ted Lasso actor Nick Mohammed, who appeared on The Celebrity Traitors last year. However, Davina had to apologise after one of them used strong language during the live show.
Nick could be heard saying 'oh f***' and 'shit' as he was struggling to solve eight Rubik's Cubes in one minute as part of a challenge in front of the live audience. With him on stage, trying to disrupt him using a water pistol, was his former Celebrity Traitors co-star Joe Marler dressed up in drag.
After the 60 seconds were up and Nick failed to complete the challenge, he turned the cubes around to show them arranged into the word sorry - an apology for his banishment of the former England rugby player in the final of The Celebrity Traitors.
Nick and Joe then walked over to Davina, who told those watching the BBC show: "Before we go any further we just wanted to apologise if anybody heard any bad language there. It was a very high stress situation."
Confused, Nick said: "Did I say... Was it me?" To which Davina replied: "I'm not sure, let's not go over it again."
The crowd attending the show at the studio in Salford's MediaCity could be heard laughing as they appeared to take the moment in good spirits. As Traitors fans will recall, Nick betrayed Joe in the final of the Celebrity Traitors, allowing Alan Carr to pull off an unlikely win.
Meanwhile, Davina struggled to hold back her tears during the broadcast after she introduced a segment which showed a mother who sadly lost her child was working in her community to help and support other mothers.
"Mothers helping mothers, I love that, right? Community help workers are needed now more than ever... She went through something so terrible, she decided to help others save the lives of their children," she said with tears in her eyes.
