THE Traitors will continue plotting for years to come after the BBC secured the future of the smash-hit show.
The Beeb has confirmed a huge new deal that will keep both The Traitors and Celebrity Traitors on screens until at least 2030.
Host Claudia Winkleman is also expected to remain at the helm of the psychological reality hit.
The series has become one of the biggest entertainment hits in Britain, gripping millions of viewers with its dramatic psychological twists and turns.
The show sees contestants secretly divided into "Faithfuls" and "Traitors", with the Traitors plotting nightly "murders" while the group attempts to banish them at tense round table votes.
Bosses have now locked in the franchise for another three years in a landmark agreement.
The renewed commitment means fans can expect plenty more deception, epic missions and shock banishments from the show's iconic home at Ardross Castle in Scotland.
An economic report published by the BBC last year revealed the franchise has generated an estimated £21.8million boost to Scotland's economy since filming began in 2022.
The new deal also appears to shut down speculation the smash hit could be poached by a streaming giant.
Industry rumours had suggested platforms such as Netflix might attempt to snap up the hugely popular format.
The announcement follows the huge success of Celebrity Traitors, which launched in October 2025.
The celebrity edition saw famous faces including Olympic legend Sir Mo Farah, comedian Alan Carr and singer Charlotte Church battle it out around the famous round table.
Across its run it averaged 14.9million viewers, peaking at 15.4million for the finale.
The fourth series of the original Traitors also had the nation hooked earlier this year.
The January 2026 run achieved a 12.5million 28-day average audience.
Fans can also expect Claudia Winkleman to remain at the helm of the psychological game show.
The Strictly Come Dancing star has hosted every UK series of The Traitors, becoming synonymous with its dramatic banishments, murders and late-night round tables.
While the BBC has not formally confirmed hosting details for future series, Claudia is widely expected to return when the next run begins.
BBC entertainment boss Kalpna Patel-Knight said: "We are proud to remain faithful to The Traitors and The Celebrity Traitors until 2030 and wanted to say a big thank you to the outstanding team at Studio Lambert Scotland for bringing it to screen."
She added: "We can't wait to share many more twists and turns with viewers all across the UK in the coming years."
Studio Lambert chief executive Stephen Lambert said the show had become a global television phenomenon.
He said: "It's hugely exciting that audiences will have many more years of strategy, suspense and shocking twists still to come."
The BBC also confirmed The Traitors series five will arrive in 2027, followed by series six in 2028, series seven in 2029 and series eight in 2030.
Meanwhile, Celebrity Traitors series two is set to air later in 2026, with further celebrity editions planned through to 2029.
